This meeting offered three-day programme with a comprehensive update on the cardiometabolic risk presented by a distinguished international teaching faculty. The Symposium is a joint educational programme by the Working Group on Peripheral Circulation, the Division of Cardiology, Department of Clinical and Molecular Medicine, University of Rome “Sapienza” and the European Society of Cardiology.
This new edition is organised to address the latest knowledge and advances in pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment of cardiometabolic risk and discuss its impact in clinical practice. The scientific programme is covering a broad spectrum of topics including inflammation and atherosclerosis; diabetes and acute coronary syndromes; evidence-based management of obesity and insulin resistance; strategies beyond glycemic control; poly-vascular disease.
Under the auspices of the ESC Working Group on Peripheral Circulation, our objective is to promote a learning and collaborative environment across specialty borders.
