EAPCI Board 2011-2013: Elections

  This year there will be important elections for the new Board of the European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions (EAPCI), which will take office and serve your Association from September 2011 until September 2013 under the presidency of Dr Jean Fajadet (France). Applications are now closed

The vacant positions are for:

  • President-Elect
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
Find out more about the roles and responsibilities for these 3 positions here. Candidates can apply to one of these three positions

Who can apply?

To be eligible, candidates must fulfill the below requirements:

  • Be member of EAPCI. If you are not yet a member, join now!
  • Be active in one of the ESC Member countries
  • Be member of one of the 53 ESC National Cardiovascular Societies or of an Interventional Working Group
  • Have percutaneous intervention as primary interest

In addition, candidates are recommended to:

  • provide a letter of endorsement of an Interventional Working Group or a National Society 
  • be a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC).

Download the application form  and send it to the EAPCI Office by 16 January 2011. Applications are now closed

What happens next?

The applications will be reviewed by the Nominating Committee of the EAPCI who has the responsibility to propose a balanced list of candidates for all positions, ensuring a cross-section of members from different countries and with different interests.  

Important deadlines

  • Applications deadline: 16 January 2011
  • Candidates announcement: mid March 2011
  • Online voting*: April 2011
  • Results announcement: May 2011 at the EAPCI General Assembly during EuroPCR 2011.

* as per the EAPCI Constitution, to be eligible to vote, individuals should meet all the following criteria:

  • Be a member of EAPCI
  • Be an interventionalist
  • Be active in an ESC Member country
  • Be a member of a National Society and/or Interventional Working Group
