The course is organised in collaboration with the Exercise Pathophysiology (EPP) Laboratory of the Cardiac Rehabilitation Division of the S. Maugeri Foundation, IRCCS - Scientific Institute of Veruno, Italy, an Institution with a long-lasting experience in both the clinical management and the functional evaluation of cardiac patients. In my capacity as Head of the EPP Lab in Veruno and past Chair of the Exercise Physiology Section of the EACPR, I warmly invite European and extra-European professionals interested in CPET not to miss the opportunity the course will offer them to assist in live demonstrations of CPET, discuss clinical cases and share their experience with well-known experts in the field. The whole spectrum of CPET applications in cardiology will be covered by the programme, with a special focus on CPET interpretation and use of CPET for functional evaluation and prognostic stratification of cardiac patients and for exercise training prescription in cardiac rehabilitation.
