The aim of the Course is to provide the participants with the basic knowledge and the methodological tools to judge, develop and design clinical studies, write a study protocol and prepare a manuscript for publication. The EACPR Clinical Research Methods Training Course is ideal for young clinical researchers who wish to pursue a career in clinical and applied sciences. Although we take many examples from cardiovascular or prevention research the course is open to participants from all disciplines of medicine and pharmacology.

Venue:
The course venue in the Benedictine Monastery on the Fraueninsel (“Island of Women”)/Chiemsee, just one hour drive away from Munich airport, will provide the ideal setting for intensive interaction, group discussions, and personal teaching.
The small and dedicated faculty will ensure a rich learning experience.

Course objectives:
The aim of the EACPR/ESC Clinical Research Methods Training Course is to provide the participants with the basic knowledge and the methodological tools to judge, develop, and design clinical studies – from the study concept and study protocol, through statistical planning and analysis, to the successful publication of the study results. Although we take many examples from studies in cardiovascular prevention the course will benefit participants from all clinical disciplines of medicine and pharmacology.
Target audience:
The one-week course is ideal for young clinical researchers who wish to pursue a career in clinical sciences/clinical pharmacology focusing on patient-oriented trials.
We strongly encourage you to bring own study projects or project ideas with you to benefit from the presentation and discussion of these projects in the workshops.

Course Fee:
800 € for the entire course, including the meals and coffee breaks. Hotel accommodation approx. 50€ per day.
