To reduce the burden of cardiovascular disease in Europe through percutaneous cardiovascular interventions

The European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions (EAPCI) was officially launched after a vote by the ESC General Assembly at the World Congress of Cardiology 2006 in Barcelona, Spain. The Association was created from a joint venture between the now dissolved ESC Working Group on Interventional Cardiology and EuroPCR.
