A week-long course will take place in Bern from 9 - 13 November, of which 'Exercise training and long term management in heart failure patients' is the third part.
Preventive Cardiology, Sports Cardiology & Exercise based Rehabilitation – From Set-up to New Frontiers: 9 - 13 November 2015
The content of the course covers essential knowledge on secondary prevention, cardiac rehabilitation (including rehabilitation of heart failure patients), and sports cardiology according to the Core Curriculum for the European cardiologist. The course approach is practical, including plenary discussion rounds, workshopsand live demonstrations of exercise testing and training.
A first part will cover 'Preventive Cardiology & Exercise based Cardiac Rehabilitation. How to Set-up a Cardiac Rehabilitation Programme?' on 9 & 10 November.
This will be followed by 'Sports Cardiology' on 11 November
The third part 'Exercise training and long term management in heart failure patients' covers the most current evidence of the benefit of exercise training in heart failure patients, especially in the context of the long-term management, is summarized and presented with practical advice for assessment of exercise capacity and the application of exercise in different settings.
