Summary

Since 2010, Heart Failure Awareness Days has been one of the most significant events on the HFA calendar. This is an opportunity to bring the realities of heart failure to the forefront of public awareness in order to be catalysts for change. Over the past few years, efforts have expanded through various activities such as TV and radio debates, leveraging social media platforms, publishing articles in national newspapers, setting up stands in city squares, organising children's art exhibitions, facilitating outdoor activities involving patients, hosting open house events at clinics, and many more.

Heart Failure Awareness Days 2023

Thank you to all the Heart Failure National Societies and Working Groups that actively took part in Heart Failure Awareness Days 2023 from 1 to 7 May. The theme of this year's event was 'Detect the undetected'* emphasising the importance of identifying undiagnosed patients and intervening early.

Share your activities and see what others are doing! #HeartFailureAwarenessDays

*in support of the 25in25 initiative: more information is available from the British Society of Heart Failure.

The HFA firmly believes that early intervention holds the greatest potential for positively impacting people's lives and outcomes. The objective of the 25in25 initiative is to reduce the mortality rate from heart failure by 25% within the next 25 years, starting from the first year of diagnosis.
