ACNAP Science Committee

The purpose of the ACNAP Science Committee is to provide leadership and strategic direction for the 
ACNAP nursing and allied professionals science agenda, maximising their contribution to the ESC and 
ACNAP visions.

What is our main goal?

  • Engage widely with the ACNAP membership, providing opportunities to work with the ACNAP Science 
    Committee.
  • Develop and implement a workplan that contributes to a) increasing research evidence, b) facilitating 
    and supporting research through developing nursing and allied professional research capability and 
    c) promoting the understanding and implementation of research in practice.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of the ACNAP Congress scientific programme.
  • Maintain a close working relationship with the European Journal of Cardiovascular Nursing, the official 
    journal of ACNAP.
  • Explore opportunities to collaborate with other ESC Associations.

What do we do?

The ACNAP Science Committee develops and implements a workplan that contributes to:

  • Increasing research evidence, contributing to evidence-based practice
  • Facilitating and supporting research through developing nursing and allied professional research 
    capability
  • Promoting the understanding and implementation of research in practice
