Women at Heart Contest

Because women’s hearts are worth it!

All national societies of cardiology were invited to develop campaigns to raise awareness on women & CVD and disseminate recommendations from the EuroHeart Work Package6 “Women & cardiovascular disease”.

The awardees received their prize last 9th March during the Spring Summit of the European Society of Cardiology from Prof. Komajda and Prof. Pinto.

1st prize: Latvian Society of Cardiology
2nd prize: Society of Cardiology of the Russian Federation
3rd prize: Sociedad Espanola de Cardiologia

The three best projects will receive a contribution from the ESC, and stand as examples for other national campaigns.

National Societies were invited to use the existing material on the topic, such as:

EuroHeart Work Package 6 material: “Red Alert for Women’s Heart” report, summary reports and ESC press release
Women at Heart scientific material (CD format)
World Heart Federation's "Go Red for Women" campaign toolkit (secured access)
European Heart Network’s report on past awareness campaigns across Europe

The three best projects will receive a contribution from the ESC towards campaign costs.

Material from the winning campaigns will be available for re-use by other national societies.
