Since 1996 the IHS is a member of the European Society of Cardiology, the IHS members are active in working groups and serve on committees.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary, the Israel Heart Society decided to put primary and secondary prevention as its main goal. The first event “The Heart Day”, which included health marching, health food and free of charge testing for the population, took place in May.
