The ESC takes this opportunity to acknowledge the Graders for their contribution to the reviewing of all submitted abstracts.
Graders are unaware of the name of the authors, institutions and country of origin and each abstract submitted received nearly 10 grades each.
The highest quality work is included in the Final Programme by the Scientific Programme Committee and this year over 4 500 abstracts will be presented!
HOW TO CONFIRM YOUR PRESENTATION
STEP 1: Log in to using your My ESC account (e-mail and password - the one used for abstract submission). - You will also be able to view the abstract presentation time and format. Access results
STEP 2: Select the presenter and confirm contact details.
STEP 3: The presenter selected in STEP 2 will receive instructions by email to submit his/her agreement form.
The agreement form has to be submitted as soon as possible to ensure the abstract information is accurate in the final programme.

STEP 5: Upload your presentation in advance online from 18 August

Young Investigators Awards
Selected for the outstanding quality of their work, four Young Investigators will be competing in each session for a prestigious ESC Award presenting their original research in front of a jury. The awards will be focused on Basic Science - Clinical Science - Thrombosis - Population Sciences - Coronary Pathophysiology and microcirculation - Stroke (New this year).
The ESC will grant each winner with a prize of €2,000 and finalists will each receive a prize of €1,000.
Nursing and Allied Professions Investigator Award
This award aims to recognise significant contributions from new investigators in cardiovascular nursing and allied professions.
The ESC will grant the winner with a prize of €2,000 and finalists will each receive a prize of €1,000.
Moderated Poster Winners
Moderated Posters presenters will be in competition for the "best Moderated Poster" to win a free registration for next year's ESC Congress. 9 winners in total (1 per topic).
ESC Congress Educational Grants.
ESC has offered 200 grants to Cardiovascular professionals who have - or will have - little or no access to funding or difficulties to obtain financial assistance in order to attend the Congress. Successful applicants will receive €1 000 as a contribution towards costs of travel and accommodation and will also benefit from a standard congress registration.
Basic Science Travel Grants
Basic scientists whose abstracts are accepted for ESC Congress 2016 are welcome to apply for a travel grant. See here conditions of eligibility and how to apply.
- New this year! Special registration fee for abstract presenters starting at €195 - see conditions and deadlines
The following abstract presenters will be entitled to free registration for the Congress and have received an email to confirm the registration procedure
- Presenters aged 35 or under of an accepted abstract in the topic Basic Science or category Bench.
- Presenters coming from one of the low and middle income countries members of the ESC: Armenia, Egypt, Georgia, Kosovo, Kyrgyz Republic, Moldova, Morocco, Syrian Arab Republic and Ukraine.
- Presenters whose abstracts have been accepted in a Young Investigators Awards or Nursing / Allied Professional Investigator Award session.
