EACVI at a glance
The European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI) has evolved into a multi-modality Association through collaboration of the former European Association of Echocardiography (EAE), the ESC Working Group on Nuclear Cardiology & Cardiac Computed Tomography (ESC WG on NC &CCT) and the ESC Working Group on Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (ESC WG on CMR). In the new structure, the three ESC constituent bodies will work closely together on all aspects of cardiovascular imaging represented by the three entities with a particular focus on education, training and scientific initiatives.
This collaboration between specialists from Echocardiography, Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance and Nuclear Cardiology & Cardiac Computed Tomography not only reflects the importance of moving from a technology focused to more patient centric approach, but allows for better information sharing and exchange within the association. The new structure has been put in place to integrate all modalities. The committees will develop projects and implement the strategy defined by the Board. The Sections will ensure representation of their entity within the Board and the Committees. Discover the sections:
