Attendance certificates for participants will be provided on-site upon request, in the Registration Area, as of Monday 28 August. ESC Congress 2017 is accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME) to provide the following CME activity for medical specialists. The EACCME is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS), www.uems.net
ESC Congress 2017 is designated for a maximum of 26 hours of European external CME credits. Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
New! Through an agreement between the European Union of Medical Specialists and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
Information on the process to convert EACCME credit to AMA credit can be found at www.ama-assn.org/go/internationalcme. Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognized by the UEMS-EACCME for ECMEC credits are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

5-day public transport tickets at a special congress rate of 25 Euros can be purchased in advance through the online individual registration page or onsite at the congress venue in the Registration Area from Friday 25 August 2017 onwards.
Tickets are valid for unlimited journeys, on the metro, bus, tram in zone 1 and are valid to and from the airport. New this year: the Fira Gran Via has a new metro stop that links it to the airport and city centre.

A customised invitation letter for visa purpose is available for download through your My ESC account.
Such an invitation is intended to help potential delegates raise travel funds or obtain a visa but does not imply the ESC will provide financial support.
Please visit the website of the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation for further information concerning the documents required to obtain a visa. We urge all delegates to keep in mind that a visa application may take some time to be processed and should, therefore, be initiated early enough to ensure it is accepted before the congress begins.
We invite you to check with your local embassy regarding what sort of documents are necessary, as this may differ between delegates from the same country.
