The ESC Advisory Group is an independent strategic body established to provide the ESC President, Presidential Trio, and Chief Executive Officer and the ESC Management Group and ESC Board with forward‑looking, outside‑in advice on major trends, risks and opportunities affecting the ESC and its mission to reduce the burden of cardiovascular disease worldwide. Members serve on a voluntary basis and are initially appointed for a two-year term.

The Advisory Group’s role is exclusively advisory in nature, it has no executive, operational or governance authority. Its role is to inform, challenge and enrich strategic decision‑making by the ESC leadership through an independent outside view providing foresight and ethical stewardship.
