Each ESC Working Group organises educational programmes and research activities. It also gives access to a wide range of resources from past events.
Educational programmes vary depending on each Working Group and can include the followings:
Webinars are live course transmitted over the web. They give you the opportunity to update your knowledge, interact with key opinion leaders, check your progress with online MCQs and gain CME credits! Sessions are also recorded so that you can still access resources for e-learning objectives.
The Working Group on Myocardial and Pericardial Diseases proposes Webinars.
Courses follow a practical and interactive 'how to' style with clear learning objectives. They can be submitted for accreditation. Courses take place at the European Heart House (Sophia-Antipolis, France) or at other venues in Europe.

The Working Group on Pulmonary Circulation and Right Ventricular Function endorses an Annual International Master’s Degree and a Biennial European Spring School.

In order to improve clinical practice, the ESC charges groups of European experts with the task of creating recommendations and guidelines for clinical practice, published as Task Force Reports, or other Study Groups.

During ESC Congress or Working Group annual meetings, some Working Groups acknowledge the outstanding work of young researcher in offering research awards.
Awardees are selected among best submitted abstracts and are given a diploma plus a financial prize. They are also invited to be involved in the Working Group activities.

Open to Working Group on Thrombosis members, the Young Thrombosis Researchers Exchange Grant is a great opportunity for young investigators to conduct scientific research in Thrombosis. The grant covers the salary of a 12 month research proposal in an ESC member country or ESC Affiliated country and aims to:
In 2009, the ESC launched the EURObservational Research Programme (EORP) to provide a better understanding of medical practice, based on observational data collected with more robust methodological procedures.
This programme includes 20 different registries and four of them reach Working Group topics, thus directly implicating members of these Groups.
