Symposium on e-Cardiology in Osijek, Croatia

15-17 March 2012

The first symposium organised by our WG, Symposium e- Cardiology 2012, will be held in Osijek, Croatia 15-17 March 2012, and is co-organised by the European Society of Cardiology Working Group on e-Cardiology and the Croatian Cardiac Society.

Symposium e-Cardiology is organised as an interactive and educational meeting that will cover the most relevant areas of the applications of information technology (IT) in various areas of cardiology. This includes the IT applications in both research and daily clinical practice within and outside the hospital environment.

The field of work and research of e-Cardiology is the promotion of specialised computer procedures in cardiovascular imaging, computer-aided knowledge discovery, artificial intelligence, machine learning, modelling and analysis of bio-signals, database, intra-hospital and inter-hospital communication and development of predictive models. These activities provide logistic support to scientists and clinical practitioners from different fields to cooperate on new topics and applications in cardiology.

The lectures of e-Cardiology 2012 provide an overview of the most significant contemporary issues in telemedicine, electrocardiology, interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, cardiovascular imaging and general computing science in cardiology. The Symposium is intended for cardiologists, cardiology residents, internists, medical IT specialists, medical physicists and all other physicians who use IT in their daily professional and scientific work. This Symposium is also an opportunity for the initiation of communication between IT minded cardiologists from different European countries.
All members of the Working Group are strongly invited to attend the symposium, to learn new insights in the field of e-Cardiology, and also to enjoy beautiful Osijek, Croatia. You can still register for the symposium by visiting the website of the symposium:
