Dear members,
The ESC congress is the largest cardiovascular congress in the world. It is an important event for clinicians as well as basic scientists. The Working Group (WG) Cellular Biology of the Heart, one of the ESC WG specialized in basic science, uses this opportunity to enhance scientific interaction between basic scientists and clinicians in the field of cardiovascular research. In this way we hope to promote scientists and clinicians working together to develop translational research projects for identifying novel therapeutic targets for treating patients with heart disease. Of course, COVID-19 raises an extra challenge to effective communication and collaboration. But despite this challenge, a huge amount of thought and effort has gone into preparing The Digital Experience, to assist in maintaining connections, and our Working Group has contributed where possible. We hope all members, particularly our early career researchers, will enjoy The Digital Experience, and we look forward to future events when we will be able to meet in person again.
