During the past ESC congress the new ESC/EACTS guidelines for the management of valvular heart disease have been presented. Paolo Meani and Roberto Lorusso from Maastricht kindly provided a commentary on the most important changes and novelties of the new guidelines for this newsletter. We have also included three recommended readings to this newsletter that have recently been published that may be of interest for you.
