Joint session ESC Working group on Cardiovascular Surgery & PCR

16-19 March 2011

"For us, cardiovascular physicians and surgeons, patients with severe coronary disease who require intervention are at the centre of our attention; the expertise of all involved - cardiovascular surgeons & interventional cardiologists - is required to devise and select the best approach for any single patient, in the light of the pertinent clinical studies & experience.

PCR and the ESC Working Group on Cardiovascular Surgery have partnered  for many years in developing a fruitful dialogue, as attested e.g. at EuroPCR.
The new 2010 ESC/EACTS guidelines on myocardial revascularization, many of whose writing committee are members of EuroPCR and the ESC Working Group on Cardiovascular Surgery, is another example of this very fruitful collaborative and collegiate approach. This co-branded session at CIT is yet another testimony of this respectful collaboration. "

Prof. D. Taggart, Chairman of ESC WG  on Cardiovascular Surgery and Prof. J. Marco, Chairman of PCR .
