Dear members,
Our Working Group has had a wonderful start of 2020 with our very first Webinar, in which Professor Edward Carmeliet, one of the founding fathers of the EWGCCE, gave a truly inspiring overview of the history of cardiac cellular electrophysiology. The Webinar was a huge success and attracted a very large audience, and I would like to thank Prof. Carmeliet for his continued dedication to our Working Group. Also many thanks to Prof. David Eisner for his excellent hosting of the Webinar. We will do our best to continue these Webinars in the coming years!
If you missed it, you can view the webcast here.
Preparations are now well under way for our next main event, the annual EWGCCE meeting in Amsterdam (June 6-8, 2020). Keynote speakers have been invited, and the scientific program will be online soon. Registration is now open, and please note the various deadlines: February 21 for abstract submissions, and April 17 for poster title submissions. If you want to apply for a Travel Grant, submit your application together with your abstract by February 21. I would urge everyone to make travel arrangements and book accommodation as soon as possible.
I hope to see you all in Amsterdam in June!
Carol Ann Remme
Chairperson, EWGCCE
