Chairperson editorial
Dear members,
Winter is almost here and there are just a few weeks left in 2019. It has been another successful year for our Working Group and I look forward to an exciting 2020.
We will start the new year by hosting our very first Webinar on January 28 with a lecture on “Cardiac Cellular Electrophysiology: Back to Basics” by Professor Edward Carmeliet, one of the founding fathers of the EWGCCE. This lecture is a must for all electrophysiologists, and we encourage all our members to join and actively participate by sending in questions.
In June, we will have our annual meeting in Amsterdam, the 44th EWGCCE. Preparations are well underway and we will soon announce the scientific program. Registration is now open: I would urge everyone to start planning their visit to Amsterdam and book accommodation as soon as possible. Access the schedule and important dates on the website.
Finally, don’t forget to send in your applications for the Scientific Exchange Grants by December 19, 2019! These allow members to spend time abroad at another institute with the purpose of learning a new technique and strengthening collaboration between institutes.
