Dear members of the ESC Working Group on Atherosclerosis and Vascular Biology,

The vulnerable atherosclerotic plaque was the topic of the most recent symposium, organized by our Working Group in Maastricht (NL) on May 25. This successful meeting gathered experts in the field to present and discuss the latest advancement on how to image the vulnerable plaque, and its implications for clinical practice and vascular biology. Such translational activities constitute the core of our Working Group, which aims to bridge the gap between clinical cardiology and vascular biology.

We welcome the active participation of all Working Group members in our activities, so do not hesitate to contact us.

On behalf of the Working Group nucleus,

Prof. Magnus Back

Chairperson of the ESC Working Group on Atherosclerosis and Vascular Biology

Department Of Cardiology, Karolinska University Hospital, Stockholm – Sweden
