Dear members of the ESC Working Group on Atherosclerosis and Vascular Biology,
This spring is full of exciting events both organized by the Working Group and being directly relating to our interests. You can for example attend sessions on Inflammation in Atherosclerosis and the Vascular Biology of Arterial Stiffness at the EuroPrevent meeting in Lisabon (11-13 April). Shortly thereafter our Working Group will organize a session on Endothelial Dysfunction during the 3rd ESM-EVBO Conference in Maastricht, the Netherlands (15-18 April 2019).
Registration is now also open for a symposium on Imaging of the Vulnerable Atherosclerotic Plaque - Biological Insights that will take place in Maastricht, The Netherlands on 25 May 2019, just before the congress of the European Atherosclerosis Society (EAS). Whether or not you are attending the EAS meeting, you are most welcome to our symposium. Get more information and registrer.
Our working group also has several close interactions with other working groups and councils of the ECS. On such example is the ESC Council on Stroke, which recently organized a highly significant and appreciated “ESC Heart & Stroke” conference in Berlin (25-26 January). This conference highlighted the implications for atherosclerosis beyond the coronary circulation.
We are always open to ideas and initiatives from the Working Group members so do not hesitate to contact us.
On behalf of the Working Group nucleus,
Prof. Magnus Back
