OUR MISSION: TO REDUCE THE BURDEN OF CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE
All professionnals having a genuine interest in the discipline of Cardiology and showing dedication to the ESC and its activities can apply for the ESC Fellowship. The candidate must prove scientific or clinical excellence in cardiology.
A candidate should submit an application online on the ESC Web Site before the annual deadline: 30 September.
Two tracks for applications exist and the required documentation depends of the application track chosen. Please note that all supporting documents must be provided in English.SCIENTIFIC EXCELLENCE
Nurses in the Professional Register of the country in which they practice or Allied Professions with a minimum of five years of practical experience cardiac care can apply for the ESC Fellowship
All elements referred to above are mandatory. The ESC Credentials Committee will reject candidates who do not supply all these elements.
The application procedure is available online from 15 June to 30 September. The applicant must submit the application online before the annual deadline: 30 September.
All applications are evaluated by the ESC Credentials Committee on a case by case basis. Therefore, documentation such as copies of academic or National Cardiology Diplomas, publications, supporting letters, and CV are required. The candidate is informed about the application status (elected or rejected) by the Fellowship Department in November (year N).
Applications are evaluated by the ESC Credentials Committee in October (Year N). The result of the evaluation of the application is notified in November by email (Year N).
The annual Fellowship fee is 450 Euros for the Fellows and 200 Euros for Nurse Fellows.
The yearly Fellowship fee is 450 Euros, and covers the period from 1 January to 31 December (year N+1). Newly elected FESC receive the request for payment in November (year N). The request for payment is mailed and the payment must be received before 30 November (Year N) to ensure the delivery of the selected Journal early January (year N + 1).
Payment should be preferably made online.Therefore, once paid, new Fellows start to benefit from the Fellows privileges.
The Fellowship Diploma can be collected during the ESC Congress at the 'ESC Fellows Lounge'. Prior to Congress, newly elected FESC are informed about all details concerning the celebrations dedicated to this event.
After the ESC Congress, if you did not attend the ESC Congress, your FESC diploma will be sent by post. However, the ESC is not responsible for any damage that may occur during posting or for a FESC diploma that may get lost.
The European Society of Cardiology fully complies with the French Laws represented by CNIL (Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés) and European authorities regulations related to personal data protection. FESC that did not submit their agreement do not have their contact details published in the Fellows Directory online.
All Privileges and services online are included in the annual Fellowship fee, once paid.

The status of Emeritus Fellow is conferred by the ESC Credentials Committee upon written request of the Fellow when he/she reaches minimum age of 65 years, and retires from full-time work. Proof of retirement should be provided to the Fellowship Department.
