Call for EAPC Young Ambassadors
We are looking for highly motivated candidates who will commit to promoting the EAPC Young Community and its activities.
As an EAPC Young Ambassador, your main missions will be to:
- Serve as a representative of the EAPC Young Community in your country and act as a primary point of contact for young healthcare professionals interested in preventive cardiology.
- Establish a national network of young healthcare professionals in your country who share an interest in preventive cardiology.
- Forge relationships and partnerships with national young groups, universities, and hospitals (with a particular focus on students and residents) to promote preventive cardiology and EAPC Young Community and its activities with the support of EAPC staff.
- Facilitate the access of young healthcare professionals in your country to international educational and training opportunities offered by the EAPC.
- Communicate the needs and interests of your national colleagues to the EAPC.
- Contribute to the EAPC Preventive Cardiology Facebook and LinkedIn groups by posting content related to research articles, research news, congresses, courses etc and and by promoting these groups.
- Participate in the Young Community and EAPC activities at annual congresses (ESC Congress and/or ESC Preventive Cardiology).
- Attend and actively engage in regular conference calls, scheduled once every six months.
As a Young Ambassador you will:
- Be a protagonist in the effort to connect young members of the EAPC, offering them opportunities for professional and educational growth.
- Gain visibility with your peers, nationally and internationally.
- Meet with EAPC leaders.
- Enhance your professional network.
As an EAPC Young Ambassador you are expected to:
- Provide a report (every six months) on your activities as Young Ambassador. The first report will be due six months after the start of your mandate.
Who can apply?
This position is open to healthcare professionals from ESC member* or affiliate countries (place of work or country of residence in MyESC).
Candidates must be:
- A healthcare professional in the field of preventive cardiology.
- Under the age of 40 at the time of the application.
- An EAPC Silver Member.
Requirements
Applications must be submitted online. Please note that applications received by email will not be accepted. Applications will be reviewed by the YC Core Group and the final selections will be made by the EAPC President.
The following information and documents (in English) are required for the online application:
- Personal information: title, name, country, age, and email address.
- Career stage.
- Past or present contributions to the EAPC.
- The candidate’s vision on the position of Young Ambassador and what the candidate intends to achieve as Young Ambassador.
- Experience in associations, if any.
- Curriculum vitae.
- Optional: an endorsement letter from the candidate’s national professional society will be considered an asset.
