OUR MISSION: TO REDUCE THE BURDEN OF CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE
One of the EHRA goals is to improve the level of education in the field of cardiac electrophysiology in Europe. EHRA may affiliate educational courses that are organised by Industry but that meet the EHRA educational objectives, providing a high-level scientific content. Both “clinically oriented” and “basic research oriented” courses may be considered for affiliation.
Internationally renowned expert faculty, full-time present and responsible for the course (recognised leaders in the field) (not required to be from EHRA or from Education Committee)
The course director must be EHRA member
Fellowship Programs (i.e. a sequence of courses for the same audience of international fellows in training) and skills-based learning courses (e.g. practical programmer courses or simulator training) can be considered for affiliation in the absence of "CME" accreditation provided the Faculty requirements specified above and prior approval of the program by the Education Committee as fitting within the training objectives as set forth in the “core curriculum for the heart rhythm specialist".
EHRA only affiliates a maximum of 12 courses (24 days) and a maximum of 1 Fellowship program with ≤5 sessions (≤10 days) and 3 types of skills-based training (which may consist of different repeating events with the same content over the year; for each with explicit mentioning of the responsible faculty) per year and per company. This number may increase with time, depending on the logistics that the Committee and the Heart House can handle.
Organiser (Industry) supports participation of physicians to the EHRA Educational Courses by promoting those during the affiliated courses and through registration of physicians to the EP, CP and/or Translational Science courses
The course organiser should display information about EHRA during the course (flyers, printed ads in the binders (if distributed), slide sets, membership information...)
The course organiser should put a web link from its courses’ pages to the EHRA’s home page (www.escardio.org/EHRA)
Request for affiliation should be sent to the European Heart House Office at email@example.com to the attention of Dr. Jose Luis Merino (Chair of the Educational Committee)
Please send your requests preferably three months prior to your meeting
As soon as we have all the information the EHRA Educational Committee will evaluate and approve your program within 2 weeks
An administrative fee for affiliation of 500€ per course or session (based on 2 days per course/session) will be invoiced to the applicant.
The applicant must provide space during their event, preferably in highly visible and frequented area for any EHRA documentation. Prior to final pdf posting or actual printing of any announcement, preliminary or final programmes EHRA kindly requests that proofs of the documents are forwarded to us simply to ensure that the technical requirements (including analysis, colors, resolution, etc) of the logos have been correctly represented by the graphic artists used by each conference organiser. This is simply a matter of correct technical procedure and does not constitute in any way a “final check” or paperwork hurdle. We appreciate your understanding and will always try to validate the proofs within a maximum of five working days.
The following text should be included wherever the EHRA logo is used: “course affiliated to the EHRA Educational Framework”
The logo is to be used in its entirety (with the "Registered branch of the ESC") and the text above mentioned, in its original colors and on a white background".Please contact us if you need to investigate any other alternative.
