EAPC Global Network

The EAPC Global Network is a precious resource for organisations involved in the promotion of excellence in research, practice, education and policy in cardiovascular health, primary and secondary prevention on a global scale. The aim is to facilitate international collaboration; the network is open to scientific societies active in the field of preventive cardiololgy.



Objectives

  • Strengthen and facilitate collaboration with Prevention, Rehabilitation and Sports Cardiology Working Groups of National Cardiac Societies in ESC member countries.
  • Engage discussions on opportunities for collaboration with Prevention, Rehabilitation and Sports Cardiology Working Groups in ESC Affiliate Cardiac Societies.
  • Develop international collaboration with Scientific Societies in the field of preventive cardiology, by establishing an intercontinental partner network.
  • Contribute to a wider dissemination of ESC Guidelines and EAPC recommendations, with joint scientific sessions.
  • Encourage worldwide participation in EAPC activities and use of EAPC scientific and educational products via the partner network.

Opportunities

Opportunities of collaboration will include, but are not limited to:

  • Education: Organisation / endorsement of educational events, joint sessions at scientific conferences.
  • Research: Publication of joint papers, opportunity to translate EAPC scientific documents.
  • Advocacy: Support population level changes to promote cardiovascular health, support national and international advocacy initiatives, by offering expert advice and visibility.
  • Membership: cross promotion and punctual special offers on EAPC membership; establishment of an international partner network.

The organization will fulfill its mission by continuing our efforts to establish a nationwide heart screening program for youth, free of charge or low cost, thus solving a significant public health issue through screenings, education, collaboration and facilitation. ABF is the ONLY organization screening our nation's youth with a copyrighted training protocol, as well as a collection mechanism of epidemiological data which provides valuable information for researchers and medical professionals.

Cardiac Risk in the Young
