EAPC Endorsement

of external educational and scientific events

Ensure a thorough review of your programme by key opinion leaders in Preventive Cardiology and give maximum visibility to your educational or scientific event by applying for EAPC endorsement.

Requirements & procedure

Terms & Conditions

  • EAPC endorsement is free
  • By submitting an endorsement request, you agree to offer a discount on your event’s registration fees to EAPC members (5% for Ivory members, 10% for Silver members, 20% for Gold members) if endorsement is accepted.
  • Cross-promotion will be established once the endorsement is confirmed.

Step 1: Submission

Please fill the endorsement application form “educational / scientific events” with all required information:

  • Event title, date and location
  • Organiser information
  • Name of course/programme director
  • Preliminary programme
    1. The main focus of the meeting must be on CVD prevention
    2. The programme must be scientific (not promotional) oriented
    3. The programme must be directed by a scientific committee
    4. Speakers must be recognised leaders in the field (national or international)
  • Website link
  • Registration information of the event (prices, deadlines)
  • Sponsors information
  • Involvement of National Cardiac Society / National Working Group
  • Description of evaluation mechanism (tests, participants feedback form)
  • A brief text outlining the theme and objectives to be published on the EAPC website if endorsement is approved
  • National/ European accreditation (if applicable)

Step 2: Review

The programme will systematically be reviewed by the EAPC Education Committee and must comply with the ESC Blueprint:

  • It must not promote single products/devices. Multi sponsorship is recommended.
  • Learning objectives and expected outcomes must be clearly defined.
  • The programme must be based on recent ESC guidelines/ESC consensus documents.
  • Case-based presentations are strongly encouraged.
  • It has to be interactive to better engage participants (via group discussions, breakout sessions, voting...)
  • It should align with identified needs and assess progression, an evaluation mechanism must be implemented (pre- & post-tests).
  • It should not harm EAPC/ESC image.
  • Feedback on the event is required.
  • Local National Cardiac Societies should be informed of the event and be involved in it if possible.

Please allow 2-3 weeks for review.

Step 3: Promotion

After review, EAPC will provide endorsed course organisers with:

  • An endorsement letter
  • The Association logo, acknowledgement text and branding guidelines.

Please note that EAPC requests to check any electronic or print information announcing the event, including preliminary or final programmes.

EAPC will promote your event in:

  • the EAPC calendar (endorsed events)
  • the ESC World Cardio Agenda
  • the EAPC members newsletters (over 6,000 recipients)
  • the Preventive Cardiology bulletins (over 17,000 recipients)
  • the EAPC Young Community LinkedIn Group (300 members)
