The EACPR now offers online education in preventive cardiology on the ESC e-Learning Platform (ESCeL)
New! 17 online courses in Sports Cardiology recently published. From anatomy, physiology and health benefits to cardiac safety at sports facilities including sudden death in sports, follow those online courses and get deep knowledge in that specialty.
To respond to educational demands, the ESC now offers an online education platform to cardiology specialities, which implements the curricula, to set the professional standards of cardiology practice and patient care. The initiative enhances the value of ESC content and strengthens the speciality of cardiology via the delivery of curricula and the harmonisation of training. A key point is that educational content is mapped to the curricula i.e. knowledge, skills, and professionalism.
For the launch in 2012, the EACPR Knowledge module will be composed of content and assessment, i.e., educational learning materials with associated multiple choice questions (MCQs) for assessment of knowledge acquisition.Educational contents will be organised around the following topics:
The EACPR is currently developing a series of reference textbooks covering preventive cardiology, sports medicine, and the molecular biology behind cardiovascular prevention strategies.
The e-learning platform will complement the textbooks by providing access to case-based learning, to recorded educational courses, and to MCQs for self-assessment.
