EuroIntervention Journal - News

EuroIntervention - An update - Decembre 2014

Coming to the end of 2014, the Editorial Board of EuroIntervention can look back at a successful year. Naturally the increase in our Impact Factor ( 3.758) , was probably the most significant milestone achieved . While the number of submissions continue to grow ( 9% increase from 2013), the current acceptance rate has decreased to currently 17% .

The Editorial Board , in conjunction with the EAPCI , commenced this summer a processs of rejuvenation with the addition of younger interventionalists to the group with expertise in the diverse fields of intervention and expect to continue this process further in 2015.  The free PDF downloads continue to very popular and coupled with the growth of website visits and iPad application downloads positively influence the Board's vision to become the premium multi-media journal within the international interventional cardiology community.

In the last few months, EuroIntervention has published two successful supplements, Primary PCI for STEMI and PCR London Valves 2014 and of course the iPad exclusive Clinical Atlas of Transcatheter Aortic Valve Therapies which was launched at PCR London Valves in September. Plans are afoot for not only the next supplement ( to be released at PCR 2015) but also for improvements in the submission module and new paper formats.

The Board wishes the EAPCI members Happy Holiday's and a prosperous and healthy New Year.
