According to the voted Constitution of the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI), some positions of the EACVI Board and Sections are subject to renewal for the term 2016-2018.
The call for applications for the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI) Board and Sections elections for the term 2016-2018 is open from 6 to 20 September 2016.
Being part of the EACVI Board or one of its Sections is a unique experience. During two years you will have the chance to serve the Cardiovascular Imaging (CVI) community, to be one of its leaders and prepare the future of the CVI field.
The President-Elect, Secretary, Treasurer and 6 Councilors positions are all vacant; as well as the Vice Chair and 2 Nucleus Members positions for each of the three Sections (Echocardiography, Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance, Nuclear Cardiology & Cardiac CT).

• EACVI Board elections: only Silver and Gold EACVI members* from an ESC Country are eligible to apply for the Board vacant positions and to vote during the EACVI Board elections.• EACVI Sections elections: only Ivory, Silver and Gold EACVI members* from an ESC Country are allowed to apply for the positions available and to take part of the vote within the EACVI Section dedicated to their main field of expertise: Echocardiography, Cardiac Magnetic Resonance or Nuclear Cardiology and Cardiac CT.
• 6 – 20 September: call for applications for Board and Sections positions.• 17 October – 17 November: electronic voting period for elections of the Board and Sections. On 17 October, look for your individual voting link in your electronic mailbox.• 7 December: the results of the elections will be announced during the Inaugural Session of EuroEcho-Imaging 2016 and the new Board members will start assuming their new duties right after.
