The aim of this certification is to set a European standard for competency in the practice of CMR and to give trainees in CMR the opportunity to test their knowledge against an internationally set standard. Recognition of training in CMR can be obtained at three levels, with different requirements for each level. All certification requires candidates to demonstrate they have acquired knowledge from appropriate sources and developed skills in the clinical practice of CMR. Levels 2 and 3 require the completion of a case logbook and passing the EuroCMR exam.
The EuroCMR exam is a computer-based exam. It consists of 100 - 120 multiple-choice questions and aims at testing knowledge in the theory of CMR including MR physics, clinical CMR protocols, indications and clinical application of CMR. The exam is exclusively in English
