Learning objectives: Understanding the additive role of strain imaging for the assessment of myocardial dysfunction in different clinical settings.
Participants will understand:
- the use of strain imaging for daily practice
- the different patterns of altered myocardial deformation in a variety of diseases
- the additive role of myocardial strain imaging to standard 2D and Doppler echocardiography, for the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of the most common cardiac pathologies, and
- the additive prognostic value of myocardial strain imaging to improve their daily clinical practice
