The EHJ-CVP, is an Open Access peer-reviewed journal of the European Society of Cardiology publishing original research and review papers on the interpretation and integration of new scientific developments that improve the pharmacological treatment of patients with cardiovascular disease.
Aims and Scope
The EHJ-CVP is an official, international, peer-reviewed journal of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and the ESC Working Group on Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy, with a specific focus on clinical cardiovascular pharmacology. It publishes original articles concerning clinical research, with new and established drugs and methods, as well as meta-analysis and topical reviews. The journal aims to improve the pharmacological treatment of patients with cardiovascular disease through interpreting and integrating new scientific developments within this area. The journal aims to inform practice, guide education, and drive scientific advancements in the field. While the focus is on clinical topics, basic research articles from fields such as physiology and molecular biology which contribute to an understanding of cardiovascular drug therapy are also considered, such as articles relevant to new drug development and evaluation, physiological and pharmacological bases of drug action, metabolism, drug interactions and side effects.

The successful candidate shall be a highly regarded, international expert in clinical cardiovascular pharmacology, with wide experience as an author, reviewer, and senior editor roles. The candidate is also recognised for their leadership and ability to build successful working relationships.
An enthusiastic clinical researcher in the field who is a widely published author in top-tier journals and who has extensive experience of being a journal editor would make an ideal candidate, reflecting the role of the EHJ-CVP to help advance the global cardiovascular health community’s knowledge in all aspects of clinical cardiovascular pharmacotherapy.
