To better understand the use of cardiac MRI T1 mapping as a clinical tool for myocardial tissue characterization.
In particular, the webinar will address the strengths, weaknesses and unique clinical utility, of both native (non-contrast) and post-contrast T1 mapping, including extracellular volume fraction (ECV) mapping, for characterizing focal and global myocardial pathologies including inflammation, edema, diffuse myocardial fibrosis, focal myocardial scarring of ischemic or non-ischemic origin, and storage diseases (amyloidosis, iron overload, Fabry's disease).
