Role of the Nominating Committee

The responsibilities:

  • To ensure the good running of the election process (definition of eligibility criteria, number of candidates, gender and geographical representation).
  • To ensure a transparent nominating process for vacant positions
  • To evaluate and present candidates for election
  • To ensure a balance of candidates according to criteria defined for each position.


The Nominating Committee will be led by the Past-Chair of the Council on Hypertension.

 

What you must know before applying for a position as member of the Nominating Committee

  • The members of the Nominating Committee are not eligible for Nucleus position in the Council on Hypertension, for the next 4 years (2020-2024).
  • The Nominating Committee will be dissolved after the elections in spring 2020
  • Only members of the Council on Hypertension can apply

How to apply

If you would like to be a member of the Nominating Committee we invite to you send a one-page curriculum vitae to councilhypertension@escardio.org clearly indicating:

  • your suitability for the role
  • any previous experience with positions within ESC or another professional society in the field of hypertension or a related area
  • that you are aware that if elected to the position of member of the Nominating Committee, you will be ineligible for positions in the ESC Council on Hypertension for the next 4 years (2020-2024).
