The Council on Basic Cardiovascular Science (CBCS) exists to raise the profile of basic science within the ESC. It brings together representatives from Working Groups and external subject-related European Societies. Younger scientists were supported by CBCS to create the Scientists of Tomorrow, one of the ESC’s Young Communities, who actively contribute to all the Council’s activities.
The Basic Science Summer School is a course dedicated to early stage researchers or more experienced researchers whose PhD degree was obtained within the last 2 years.
