The Council on Basic Cardiovascular Science (CBCS) exists to raise the profile of basic science within the ESC. It brings together representatives from Working Groups and external subject-related European Societies. Younger scientists were supported by CBCS to create the Scientists of Tomorrow, one of the ESC’s Young Communities, who actively contribute to all the Council’s activities.
The 5th edition of the biennial meeting of the ESC Council on Basic Cardiovascular Science Frontiers in CardioVascular Biology (FCVB) will be held from Friday 20 to Sunday 22 April 2018 in Vienna - Austria.
The Basic Science Summer School is organised every two years at the European Heart House (Nice-Sophia Antipolis, France) by the Council on Basic Cardiovascular Science with the contribution of the Scientists of Tomorrow.
