Participate in a life-saving skills refresher workshop organised by the European Resuscitation Council (ERC) and stay updated on the latest ERC guidelines.

ESC and ERC (European Resuscitation Council) have the pleasure to offer delegates 90 minutes refresher workshops, free of charge. A certificate of attendance will be provided by the ERC after the congress.

Advanced Life Support (ALS) workshop

This session will focus on state-of-the-art Advanced Life Support (ALS) techniques applicable in in-hospital scenarios, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and coordination during resuscitation efforts.

After this workshop, participants will realise what it takes to take on a team leader role in a resuscitation scenario and demonstrate the universal ALS algorithm according to the current ERC guidelines. Qualified instructors will guide you through this hands-on training, and you will have the opportunity to seek feedback and clarification on any doubts you may have.

Basic Life Support (BLS) workshop

After this workshop, participants will be able to demonstrate the professional Basic Life Support (BLS) algorithm according to the latest ERC guidelines. Additionally, participants will be able to perform high-quality chest compressions, demonstrate the correct use of an AED during BLS, and perform bag-mask ventilations. Qualified instructors will guide you through this hands-on training, and you will have the opportunity to seek feedback and clarification on any doubts you may have.

IMPORTANT: If you already hold a valid BLS certificate (one that has not expired yet), you can participate in re-certification during the BLS workshops. To do so you just need to show competence in Basic CPR skills onsite.
