Travel Information

The Lisboa International Airport is located 7km north of the city centre.

From the airport, you can easily reach the city centre and the congress centre by public transportation.

Metro

Lisbon Airport has a Metro (subway) station with a direct line to the city centre. The 'Aeroporto – Saldanha' line takes you to downtown Lisbon in about 20 minutes. You must purchase the Navegante electronic travel card, which you can then top up with balance for your journeys, and which can be used both for the Metro, and for Carris (buses) for 0.50 €. At Saldanha, disembark and walk to the Carris bus stop. Take Bus 742 (direction Sto. Amaro) to Estação Sto. Amaro, or Take Bus 727 (direction Restelo) to Rua Junqueira – Centro Congressos

Carris local bus services provide connections from Lisbon Airport (Terminal 1) to various points in the city through bus lines 705, 722, 744, and 783. Among the broader Carris network, lines 714, 727, 732, 742, and 751 stop near the Centro de Congressos de Lisboa. However, it is important to note that there is no single Carris bus offering a direct route from the airport to the congress centre and at least one transfer is necessary.

Taxis

The transfer by taxi takes approximately 15 minutes depending on the traffic and costs around €20-25. Taxis are always available in front of the airport building.

Train

From Santa Apolónia terminal station, take the blue Metro line to Baxia-Chiado station, and then change onto the green Metro line to terminus Cáis do Sodré.

From Gare do Oriente, take the red Metro line to the station Alameda and then change to the green Metro line to the terminus, Cáis do Sodré.

Car

If you plan to drive to the Centro de Congressos de Lisboa (CCL), located at Praça das Indústrias, 1, Lisbon (1300-307), the venue is easily accessible from major highways such as the A5, A2, and the Ponte 25 de Abril bridge.

Parking in CCL

The CCL offers two on-site parking areas: one underground and one on the surface with a total of around 1,100 spaces. However, parking is not guaranteed during busy conference times. If the main parking is full, alternative options include the Praça das Indústrias 1 Garage, the Telpark Largo de Jesus Car Park is about 2 km away, and the Docas de Santo Amaro Car Park along the riverside.

Tram from the city centre

The Lisbon Congress Centre (Centro de Congressos de Lisboa) is located at Praça das Indústrias 1, 1300-307 Lisboa, in the Alcântara district, to the west of central Lisbon. It is most conveniently accessed by tram line 15E, which directly connects this area with the city centre.
