The ESC Acute CardioVascular Care Scientific Programme Committee would like to thank all the contributors who have chosen ACVC 2023 to submit their original research.
You will need to sign in to your My ESC account.
Confirm the abstract presentation
STEP 1 - The submitter must sign in to her/his My ESC account with the email and password used at the time of submission to consult the abstract presentation day, time and format.
STEP 2 - The submitter must select and confirm the presenter from the list of authors by 14 January.
STEP 3 - The presenter selected in STEP 2 will receive instructions on how to confirm the presentation and submit the related agreement form.
This confirmation should be done as soon as possible to ensure the abstract information is accurate in the scientific programme.
STEP 4 - The presenter must register to the congress - you benefit from the early fee until 24 January 2023.
STEP 5 - The presenter can start preparing her/his presentation to upload it by the set deadline, as indicated in the agreement form. Review the Presenter Guidelines.
Not only will your science feature at the congress, but it will also be published in the European Heart Journal – Acute Cardiovascular Care (May 2023), and gain extra visibility on ESC 365, the cardiology knowledge hub.
Key Dates
Mid December 2022- Abstract results announcement. An email will also be sent to each submitter.
24 January 2023 - Early fee registration deadline.
Mid January 2023- Upload opening.
24 February 2023 - Deadline to upload your presentation and register for the congress.
Presentation formats
All presentations are planned to take place in person in Marseille.
Accepted abstracts are organised in different session types throughout the programme:
Awards session - Young Investigator Award (YIA) session
One session dedicated to young researchers aged under 40 - selected for the outstanding quality of their work, and presenting top research in the field.
All selected finalists will be receiving free registration to ESC Acute CardioVascular Care 2023 and an award certificate.
Winner prize:
- €1,500
- Avi Shimony Prize
- Association for Acute CardioVascular Care (ACVC) Silver Membership
- A complimentary printed copy of the Intensive and Acute Cardiac Care textbook
- Free registration to ESC Acute CardioVascular Care 2024
Research Prize runners up (2nd and 3rd position) will get:
- Association for Acute CardioVascular Care (ACVC) Silver Membership
- Complimentary online access to the Intensive and Acute Cardiac Care textbook
- Free registrations for ESC Acute CardioVascular Care 2024
Each finalist will have 6 minutes to present the research, followed by 5 minutes Q&A from the Jury members.
Scoring will be based on the following criteria: Originality, Scientific Content, Presentation and Answers to Questions.
The session will present recent findings in the field of Cardiology which can impact practice/research.
Awards session – Research Prize
One session dedicated dedicate to unpublished research in acute cardiovascular care focusing on quality of care, clinical outcomes, or translational research applied to the development of novel therapeutic, diagnostic and logistical strategies to improve patient care and long-term outcomes. The best submitted abstract have been selected for the outstanding quality of their work, and presenting top research in the field.
All selected finalists will be receiving free registration to ESC Acute CardioVascular Care 2023 and an award certificate.

Moderated ePoster sessions
Your research will be presented in a dedicated session moderated by two experts. Interact with the audience on your work!
Moderated Poster presenters will also have the opportunity to upload an eVersion of their work to be featured post congress on ESC 365.
Poster sessions
Selected research will be presented in Poster sessions. Casually exchange with the visiting delegates onsite.
