Confirmation of your presentation should be done as soon as possible

Step 1:  Log in to using your My ESC account (e-mail and password - the one used for abstract submission). You will also be able to view the abstract presentation time and format.

Step 2:  Select the presenter and confirm contact details.

Step 3: The presenter selected in step 2 will receive instructions by email to submit his/her agreement form.

The agreement form has to be submitted as soon as possible to ensure the abstract information is accurate in the final programme.

Important dates

March: abstract results online. An email has been sent to each submitter

11 April 2022: early fee registration deadline.

6 May 2022: deadline to confirm and upload your presentation.

14 May 2022: registration deadline. All abstract presenters must register for the congress.

Presentation Formats

Selected abstracts will be assigned to different presentation formats.

Each session is built to give the maximum visibility to the research and the opportunity for exchange and interactions with peers and key opinion leaders.

Young Investigator Award Session (YIA)

Two YIA sessions will be held onsite chaired by senior faculty members: one dedicated to Clinical Cardiology and another to Basic Science.

Each finalist will present the key points of his/her research followed by a Questions & Answers period led by a panel of experts who will judge the presentations and determine the winners and runners-up.

Prizes:

  • Free registration for Heart Failure 2022
  • Prizes: First Prize Winner (€ 1000) and two Runners-Up (€ 250)

Conditions:

  • Your abstract(s) must be accepted at Heart Failure 2022 in a Young Investigators Award Session
  • You must be the presenter of your abstract(s)
  • You must be under 40 years old 

Abstracts have been selected and assigned by the Scientific Programme Committee. Abstracts not selected for a YIA Session have been automatically considered for other oral presentation or e-poster presentation.

Nursing Investigator Award Session (NIA)

The selected finalists will present their research in this ession dedicated to Nursing, and a panel of experts will judge the presentations and determine the winner.

Prizes:

  • Free registration for Heart Failure 2022
  • Prizes: First Prize Winner (€ 1000) and two Runners-Up (€ 250)

Conditions:

  • You must be a registered nurse, dietician (and related professions) or in training
  • Your abstract(s) must be accepted at Heart Failure 2022 for the Nursing and Allied Professions Investigator Award Session
  • You must be the presenter of your abstract(s)
  • There is no age limit

Rapid Fire Oral Abstract / Clinical case sessions

The highest graded abstracts have been selected to be presented orally during the rapid-fire abstract sessions which will be held onsite moderated by senior faculty members.

Moderated ePosters

Moderated ePosters will be featured in a dedicated area during the event in Madrid. Sessions will be moderated by two chaipersons, experts in the topic.
In addition, presentations will be published on the Research Gateway (abstracts and clinical cases platform).

ePosters

ePosters will be featured onsite on the Today's ePosters stations in Madrid.
Presenters will have the opportunity to come to these presentations screens and casually exchange with the visiting audience onsite or invite colleagues to meet at the stations.

In addition, selected research will be published on the Research Gateway (abstracts and clinical cases platform) in an ePoster format. This platform will allow continued discussions during the event, with interaction functionalities such as rating the presentation, number of views, chat and comments.
