Frontiers in CardioVascular Biomedicine (FCVB) 2022 - Budapest, Hungary - 29 April - 1 May

FCVB 2022 will be held in person in Budapest. The Scientific Programme Committee is delighted to have the opportunity to reunite with the Basic Science research community around abstract presentations.

CONFIRMATION OF YOUR PRESENTATION SHOULD BE DONE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

Step 1: Sign in with your My ESC account (e-mail and password - the one used for abstract submission).
You will also be able to view the abstract presentation time and format.

Step 2: Select the presenter and confirm contact details.

Step 3: The presenter selected in step 2 will receive instructions by email to submit his/her agreement form. The agreement form has to be submitted as soon as possible to ensure the abstract information is accurate in the final programme.

Mark your calendar with key dates

Thursday, 14 October 2021 - Opening abstract submission

Wednesday, 5 January 2022 -  Abstract submission deadline 

Mid-February 2022 - Abstract results announcement. An email will also be sent to each submitter

FCVB 2022 Travel grants 

The Council on Basic Cardiovascular Science (CBCS) and each Working Group and Sister Society involved in FCVB 2022 have offered Travel Grants (Value of 600€) to attend the congress in Budapest. 

The application for travel grants is now closed.

Prepare your submission

Presentation Formats

Young Investigators Award (YIA) 

If your abstract is selected for presentation in one of the two YIA sessions, you will receive specific instructions.

8 finalists will be selected. They will present their research in front of a Jury; each presentation will be followed by a Q&A time.
From the finalists, one winner will be appointed in each session by the Jury members and will receive:

  • €1,000 Prize
  • An award certificate

The 1st runner up in each YIA session will receive:

  • €300 Prize
  • An award certificate

We highlight the fact that only the Presenter may have a prize & certificate addressed to him/her.
The results will be announced during the Closing session.

Moderated Posters

During the Moderated Poster sessions, presenters will summarise their research within 3 minutes and then address questions from the Chairpersons and Audience.

Chairpersons will lead discussions around the abstract presentations (3min + 5min Q&A).

During the Moderated Poster Award sessions, the chairpersons will select the "Best Moderated Poster" of the session.

The winner in each session will receive:

  • €600 Prize
  • An award certificate

The 1st runner up in each session will receive:

  • €300 Prize
  • An award certificate

We highlight the fact that only the Presenter may have a prize & certificate addressed to him/her.
The results will be announced during the Closing session.

Poster presentations

Selected research will be presented in Poster sessions organised per topic.
