Participation in the heart gallery is only open to delegates registered to the ESC Congress 2022
You must be an ESC Professional Member or Fellow of the ESC (FESC), an Association Silver or Gold Member or Fellow (FHFA, FEHRA, FEACVI, FACVC).
Participation implies you agree to comply with the ESC code of ethics (artwork of a sexual, religious or racist character will not be accepted ).
Artwork: Ideally, the artwork should be framed. Please bring the original or a professional print of the original. You cannot bring a simple photo of the artwork . There is no limit to the size of the artwork .
Transportation: It is the responsibility of the artist to transport the artwork to the congress venue and to take it back. The artist may decide to donate the artwork to the ESC , in which case the ESC will manage the return transport of the artwork to the European Heart House – The artwork will be displayed at the European Heart House or at ESC Brussels Offices . Artists are encouraged to have insurance for the transportation and display of their artwork.
Displaying the artwork: To be done on Friday, 26 August morning at the congress venue. You will be contacted at a later stage with the exact location and details. Material and assistance for hanging the artwork will be provided onsite.
Removing the artwork: To be done on Monday, 29 August between 8:30 and 18:30.
Onsite security: Security ropes will be placed in front of the artwork. A security patrol will be present in the building all day. The ESC declines any responsibility in case of theft, vandalism, or damage to the artwork.
Personal data privacy
By submitting your work to the ESC (Unless you notify the ESC by email at ESCheARTGallery@escardio.org):
You warrant to the ESC that you are the author of the work and that the work is original and does not infringe upon any copyright, proprietary, or personal right of any third party. You warrant that the content submitted is not obscene, threatening, harassing, deceptive, invasive of another’s privacy, offensive, defamatory of any person, illegal or otherwise deliberately intended to upset or harm other users. The European Society of Cardiology reserves the right, at its sole discretion, , to refuse to publish, and remove any content from the ESC heART Gallery framework at any time and without prior notice.
You accept that your submission is uploaded and stored into ESC servers for the purpose of the ESC heART Gallery framework. The information contained in your submission(s) will be kept for a maximum of five years after your last interaction/activity in the ESC heART Gallery framework.
You agree and authorise the ESC to publish/promote your submission for the purpose of the ESC heART Gallery framework (gallery, museum, exhibition, competitions, online or on-site during specific ESC events/congresses , ESC promotional material and communication).
Except within the framework of the ESC heART Gallery, your submission will not be reproduced nor publicly disseminated by the ESC in any form without the express consent of the submitter or appropriate author.
The European Society of Cardiology reserves the right, without prior notice or compensation, to suspend temporarily or close definitively the ESC heART Gallery programme at any time. The European Society of Cardiology shall not be liable for any harm whatsoever that could result from these changes and/or temporary unavailability.
The information collected in the ESC heART Gallery e-form is subject to data processing in order to manage the ESC heART Gallery framework and activities. The recipients of the data are ESC staff, ESC management and ESC contractors involved to perform specific services in connection with the ESC heART Gallery framework.

In accordance with chapter 3 of the European Regulation 2016/679 with regards to data protection, you have the right to request from ESC, access to and rectification or erasure of your personal data or restriction of processing concerning your data or to object to processing as well as the right to data portability.
