Results will be announced early May.

Important Dates

13 December 2023: Opening of the Call for Abstracts
1 March 2024: Deadline to submit your abstract
Early May 2024: Abstracts results announcement. An email will be sent to each submitter
31 May 2024: Early fee registration deadline - All abstract presenters must register for the congress
30 June 2024: Deadline for the assigned presenters to confirm presentation(s) and submit the related agreement forms
1 August 2024: Deadline for presenters to register and upload presentations. Failure to upload and register for the congress by this deadline will lead to the withdrawal of the abstract from the Scientific Programme and all related publications

ESC Congress Awards

Submitters whose abstract is selected for presentation in an Award session, will receive specific instructions.

Each finalist will receive an Award certificate and a prize - €1,500 for winners and €800 for runners-ups - and benefit from a free registration to the congress.

Young Investigator Awards

Selected for the outstanding quality of their work, four young investigators will be competing in each session for a prestigious ESC Award presenting their original research in front of a Jury. The awards will be focused on

Arrhythmias, Pacing and Electrophysiology
Atherothrombosis, Coronary, Aortic and Peripheral Artery Disease
Basic and Translational Sciences
Cardiovascular Imaging
Heart Failure and Cardiomyopathies
Interventional Cardiology
Population Science, Genetics and Epidemiology
Preventive Cardiology
Valvular Heart Disease

To present an abstract in one of the above YIA sessions, the first author/presenter must be under 40 years old at the time of presentation.

Nursing and Allied Professions Investigator Award

This award recognises significant contributors from new investigators in cardiovascular nursing and allied professions.
