EHRA 2018 is fast approaching and promises to be an exciting event, with new science, training and insights in the fields of arrhythmias and electrophysiology. This EHRA edition will be the first congress in electrophysiology in 2018, providing a platform for novel science.
The current regulatory environment, however, may prevent some interested healthcare professionals from attending the event.
Starting 1 January 2018, the new MedTech Europe code prohibits device companies from direct sponsorship of delegates. As a result, these companies will now channel their support through trusted partners such as EHRA which will be responsible for awarding any industry-sponsored grants. In addition, EHRA itself is introducing at least 250 educational grants to help EHRA members attend the congress.
To ensure fair and transparent distribution, the EHRA board created the EHRA Selection Committee. All applications will be rated based on predefined criteria agreed upon by the committee and the industry. All recipients will be publicly disclosed and each grant will cover congress admission, travel to Barcelona, and a hotel room.

Healthcare professionals are welcome to apply for as many grants as they wish, but will only be selected for one grant through EHRA. Applicants are eligible for one source of funding only. If alternative funds are available on top of the EHRA Educational Grant applicants must notify the Selection Committee immediately.
