Onsite Athens Registration Conditions

Acute CardioVascular Care 2024 8-10 March Athens, Greece



Acute CardioVascular Care 2024  is only accessible to certified healthcare professionals, associated press, healthcare industry representatives and other stakeholders involved in the science, management, and prevention of cardiovascular disease. Non-healthcare professionals, including infants and children under the age of 18, will not be able to access the Congress area.

Payment and General Conditions

All registration fees are quoted in Euro (€) and include 24% Greek VAT. Payment in any other currency will not be accepted. Invoices with an address in the European Union should be provided with a VAT Number. The invoicing address and VAT number can only be set up during the registration process.
Any modification on VAT number or address, requested after the issuing of the invoice, will result in an administrative fee of €85.

Registration fees are based on the date of receipt of the registration request. The prices indicated are only applicable if BOTH the registration request AND payment are received before midnight, Central European Time (GMT +1), on the relevant registration deadline date, otherwise, the higher registration fee will be applied.

Registrations will be acknowledged by email upon receipt of payment and a valid personal email address. Incomplete addresses or agency addresses will not be accepted and will result in the cancellation of the registration.

Payment of fees

Payment by Credit card (Visa, Mastercard or American Express) can be made through the online services on our secured server. For security reasons, under no circumstances should credit card details be sent by email or fax. In case of additional payments for extra orders or adjustments, a secured payment link will be sent by email. Payment by bank transfer or cheque are not accepted.

Cancellation & modification conditions

Cancellation
Any cancellation or alteration of your registration must be notified in writing and will be subject to the following conditions:

Until 8 February 2024: refund of fee minus 30% administrative charge.
From 9 February 2024: no refund.


Name Changes
Please be aware that name changes are not possible. A new registration will need to be purchased.

Social Media

We invite you to use our official hashtag #ACVC2024 when you share cardiovascular news, tagging your peers. Screenshots of the presentation are allowed in your posts, but please refrain from recording and posting any videos on your social media. This activity is not permitted.

Miscellaneous

Should a delegate not attend the congress, for whatever reason, no further claims for reimbursement or waiving of fees can be made.

Modification of the programme

The ESC reserves the right to modify the congress programme at any time, which is published as an indication only and subject to change.
The ESC reserves the right to cancel the onsite event due to serious, special or unforeseen circumstances

Liability disclaimer

No right to further claims or waiving of fees will be possible should the ESC be obliged to alter the programme of the congress.
In the result of serious special or unforeseen circumstances or serious circumstances beyond its control, the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) shall be entitled to cancel or modify the dates of the congress. Delegates shall not be entitled to compensation for any costs or damages incurred as a consequence of such a cancellation or change.

The European Society of Cardiology (ESC) will not be liable for any theft or damage to property and/or persons caused on site during the congress, by any factor whatsoever, unless there has been a fault, intent or deliberate recklessness on the part of European Society of Cardiology (ESC). The European Society of Cardiology (ESC) shall not be held responsible in the congress of poisoning or food intoxication during the congress.

Data Privacy Statement

By registering to Acute CardioVascular Care 2024 you are aware and accept that your personal data (first and last name, telephone number, full address and email address, time and duration of presence) is collected by the ESC to allow possible chains of infections to be later traced and contained.

The data shall be provided exclusively to the public health authorities in the case of a justified need.
The information collected during this registration process is necessary to provide you with an optimal user experience and networking opportunities during Acute CardioVascular Care 2024.

Without this information, we will be unable to properly process your registration. During Acute CardioVascular Care 2024 your online activity will be tracked and collected by the ESC. This will be used for reporting and statistical purposes; to assist in enhancing your experience; to inform you about ESC activities in a coherent and adequate manner and provide you with personalised suggestions and recommendations of pertinent content for you to visit.

The recipients of the data are ESC Staff managing the registration process. The data collected will be kept for a maximum of 5 years after your last transaction or activity with us after which time your My ESC account will be closed and financial transactions will be kept for a maximum of 10 years for legal accounting purposes. Additionally, please be aware that your profile information and details will be shared with the sponsor of the Industry Session, Tutorial or Exhibition you choose to view. When accessing an Industry Session, Tutorial or Exhibition, the following data will be shared with the corresponding industry: title, first name, last name, email address, city, country, age scale, gender, profession, stage in career, primary specialty, place of work and main institution information - such as entered in your My ESC account. In accordance with the chapter 3 of the European Regulation 2016/679 with regards to data protection, you have the right to request from ESC, access to and rectification or erasure of your personal data or restriction of processing concerning your data or to object to processing as well as the right to data portability.For such, please contact dataprivacy@escardio.org (be aware that a proof of identity will be requested during the process via a secure web link).
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, and for information, ESC has appointed a Data Protection Officer that you can reach at dpo@escardio.org

Applicable Law and Litigation

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with French law without regard to any conflicts of laws principles thereof that would require the application of the law of any other jurisdiction.Any disputes arising in relation hereto shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the French Tribunal de Grande Instance located in Grasse, France.
