 CONFIRMATION OF YOUR PRESENTATION SHOULD BE DONE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

Step 1: Log in to using your My ESC account (e-mail and password - the one used for abstract submission). - You will also be able to view the abstract presentation time and format.

Step 2: Select the presenter and confirm contact details.

Step 3: The presenter selected in step 2 will receive instructions by email to submit his/her agreement form. The agreement form has to be submitted as soon as possible to ensure the abstract information is accurate in the final programme.

Step 4: Prepare your abstract presentation: Review our Presenter Guidelines.

Mark your Calendar with Key Dates

  • 21 January 2021: abstract results online. An email will also be sent to each submitter.
  • 14 February 2021: early registration deadline: all abstract presenters must register for the congress.
  • 15 February 2021: deadline to confirm and upload your presentation.

Presentation Formats

Selected abstracts will be assigned to different presentation formats.

Research Prize - Rewarding Excellence in Unpublished Research

An online session dedicated to unpublished research in acute cardiovascular care with a focus on quality of care, clinical outcomes, or translational research applied to the development of novel therapeutic, diagnostic and logistical strategies to improve patient care and long-term outcomes.

  • Condition: the abstract(s) must be submitted under the option “Research Prize”.
  • Selection process: The Research Prize selection comittee will review the final top scoring abstracts to appoint four finalists. The four selected abstracts will be presented to a jury in a dedicated online session including a questions and answers section.
  • Prize:

The four finalists will receive:

  • Association for Acute CardioVascular Care (ACVC) Ivory Membership
  • Complimentary online access to the Intensive and Acute Cardiac Care textbook 
  • Free registrations for ESC Acute CardioVascular Care 2021 and 2022
  • A certificate

The winner will receive:

  • €1,500
  • Association for Acute CardioVascular Care (ACVC) Silver Membership
  • Complimentary printed copy of the Intensive and Acute Cardiac Care textbook
  • Free registrations for ESC Acute CardioVascular Care 2021 and 2022
  • A certificate

Abstracts will be selected and assigned by the Scientific Programme Committee. Abstracts not selected for the Research Prize online session will be automatically considered for ePosters presentations (if accepted).

Young Investigator Award (YIA) 

An online session dedicated to young researchers aged of 35 or below - selected for the outstanding quality of their work, and presenting top research in the field.

  • Conditions: the abstract(s) must be submitted under the option “Young Investigator Award”. Young Investigator Award sessions are eligible to those who are 35 years old or less at the time of the congress if still in training (proof of institution records will be required). 
  • Selection process: the selection committee will review the final top scoring abstracts to appoint six finalists. The six selected abstracts will be presented to a jury in a dedicated online session including a questions and answers section.
  • Prize:

The four finalists of the YIA competition will receive:

  • Association for Acute CardioVascular Care (ACVC) Ivory Membership
  • Complimentary online access to the Intensive and Acute Cardiac Care textbook
  • Free registrations for ESC Acute CardioVascular Care 2021 and 2022
  • A certificate

The winner of the YIA competition will be granted the Avi Shimony Prize and will receive:

  • €1,500 Prize
  • Association for Acute CardioVascular Care (ACVC) Silver Membership
  • Complimentary printed copy of the Intensive and Acute Cardiac Care textbook
  • Free registrations for ESC Acute CardioVascular Care 2021 and 2022
  • A certificate. We highlight the fact that only the Presenter may have a prize and the certificate addressed to him/her.

Abstracts will be selected and assigned by the Scientific Programme Committee. Abstracts not selected for the YIA online session will be automatically considered for ePoster presentation (if accepted).

Live Abstract Sessions

Best rated abstracts will be featured in dedicated Live Abstract sessions organised during the event to allow you to interact with the presenters and expert discussants. 

ePosters

Selected research will be published on the congress dedicated platform in an ePoster format. These ePosters will be available on-demand during and after ACVC 2021 – Online Congress.
This platform will allow continued discussions during the event, with interaction functionalities such as rating the presentation, number of views, chat and comments.
The abstract submitter will be able to participate and follow the conversation on their abstract throughout the event.
