Call for Clinical Cases

ESC Congress 2018

Clinical case submission is now closed.  Results will be announced early May

The Congress Programme Committee and the Cardiologists of Tomorrow (CoT) nucleus would like to thank all submitters who have contributed to the ESC Congress 2018 “Call for Clinical cases”.


Important dates

  • 1 March 2018 - Clinical case submission deadline
  • Early May 2018 - Clinical case results. An email will be sent to each submitter(Presenter)
  • 25 May 2018 - Deadline to confirm the presentation(s) and submit the agreement form(s)


A dedicated programme for Clinical Cases

Clinical Case Award Session

All submissions will be considered by the selection committee and the four best cases will be selected to run in competition for an ESC Clinical Case Award.

Cases will be presented in a dedicated session and a panel will discuss all cases in a lively and interactive way.



The winner will be selected by the Chairpersons with input from the panel and the audience based on the following criteria originality, scientific content, presentation and answers to questions.

The Winner will receive a prize of €2,000 and the finalists each receive €1,000.



NEW - The four finalist cases will be published in the European Heart Journal - Case Reports.


Clinical Case Sessions

Five highly interactive and educational sessions dedicated to the presentation of cases selected.

Young clinicians will present their cases and experts will moderate the session, facilitate interaction with the audience, prompt discussions, challenge the presenters and the audience.
