Supporting the distribution of knowledge on prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases is a major responsibility of the European Society of Cardiology. Access to ESC Guidelines is free.

In order to improve clinical practice, the Committee for Practice Guidelines charges groups of European experts with the task of creating recommendations and guidelines for clinical practice.
