ESC Congress 2007

ESC Congress 20071 707 Fellows of the European Society of Cardiology registered for the ESC Congress 2007 held in Vienna! The European Society of Cardiology endeavours to provide high quality services to the Fellowship community all year long. At the ESC Congress 2007, Fellows who had made it to Vienna were delighted to benefit from the following advantages:

The newly-elected Fellows 2007 took part in the special ceremonies as follows:

  • Special mention during the Congress Opening Ceremony
  • A dedicated Ceremony followed by a celebration cocktail
  • A Fellowship Diploma for a personalised recognition of the Fellowship status

Priority hotel booking: prior to Congress, Fellows were able to reserve and choose the hotel that suited them best.

At the 'Fellows Registration Desk' in the easily identifiable Registration Hall (red carpeting and red ropes emphasizing the privileged status of the ESC Fellows), three dedicated hostesses delivered FESC Gold badge without delay.

The FESC Gold badge symbolises outstanding professional achievements, the prestige of being an ESC Fellow and the belonging to an “elite”. The Gold badge increases the recognition of ESC Fellows.

Opposite the Fellows Registration Desk, the “Fellows Congress Bag Desk”, a desk specially designed for ESC Fellows, was the place for Fellows to collect their congress bag.

Fellows Lounge (photo): exclusively for FESC, with services, computers, internet facilities, full time catering, plug' n' play connections for personal laptops, Wifi, printing facilities and a full time IT technician.

Congress Opening Ceremony chaired by the ESC President, Professor Kim Fox. 359 newly elected Fellows and eight Newly elected Nurse Fellows were awarded the FESC status. This was followed by a cocktail - an additional opportunity for the newly elected Fellows to celebrate their achievements and network with their peers.
